Berkeley hotel Weymouth Reviews

Excellent location, good food

Right on the esplanade. Fantastic dinner, but a full English breakfast means a little, just a slice of bacon, a sausage, whole or fried bread and an egg, well, half a tomato, but the room was comfortable.

Don't judge the outside ...

We went for a weekend with friends and were pleasantly surprised at how nice and clean the rooms were. The only staff member we saw was Tony the bartender. He did everything, ha ha, and was very kind, the staff. Very nice. The food was edible, not the best, but for what we paid it was acceptable. There were scaffolding, but decorating them ... so that was okay for us. The conversation went well, but it was not for us since we went out every night.

Charming

We had a fabulous sea view room with a balcony which was very nice. The staff was helpful and pleasant. The hotel is a bit dated, but gives it character. The hotel is clean and tidy with excellent daily room service. There is an excellent breakfast selection that is served quickly and nothing is too complicated. There was a coaching party there and they were a nice group. A review ... couldn't access WiFi, but it's not the end of the world. Happy Holidays. Thank you.

The last minute stay...

Live just 40 minutes away and want to make the most of your sunny weekend. I booked a family room (207) and we had a great view of the sea, the location of the hotel directly on the water. The room is clean and comfortable, there are nice sliding windows and two comfortable chairs. Nice to sit there and enjoy the view. Breakfast was very good, many options, staff was friendly. I would stay here again if I could have the same room.

Value for money

We had a cheap and fun 3 day break. On this basis, it was good value for money. Our room was spacious and clean, but the shower was small and there was only one curtain, which meant that the floor was flooded every time it was used.Your internet connection was poor if you weren't in the dry living room early in the morning or late at night. The staff was friendly and helpful except for one young man.The food was ok, but be careful if you ask for more than one roll! I've never had fried pork chips - in fact, they were fries and mashed potatoes with every meal! Waiters come with extra vegetables and sauce, but this usually happens when your plate is empty.Evening entertainment approx. The whole hotel was stiflingly hot and the dining room was very loud to the limit. The dining room was very hard and functional (resembles a dining room). The hotel is clean but "tired".
