Actually the room was perfectly clean with 'private bathroom' and great heating. The hotel was in a very central setting really close to the ferry port so good if you have an early start the next day. Ate at Happy Gathering, it's relatively close to the venue.

Magnificent and wonderful setting in the domestic area, just next door to rail station and ferry terminal, castle and town centre and the lovely white horse pub and all the restaurants, the beach, the white cliffs, as well as Dover Castle. I have stayed here before, it's still a gorgeous and beautiful hotel. The place was fairly clean, I booked the deluxe queen room with garden views, everything was great.
