Charming old and exceptional place, fine food offered for continental breakfast. Very attentive and wonderfully helpful staff especially the receptionist, recently renovated double room. The view from the window to the sea. Lovely and incredible location in the breathtaking area, close to the gardens and bus stops, the hill to the central gardens and town in about 10 minutes, and the beach, shops and restaurants. Plus, 5 minutes drive from North Shore.

The location it offers is lovely and stunning, close to Compton Acres, Portsmouth and the New Forest and an additional one to Sandbanks and Poole, other areas and the hill to the central gardens and town in about 10 minutes. Thanks a lot all for a very nice stay on a Shearings weekend. Double room was recently refurbished and stylish had hypoallergenic pillows and down pillows. Continental breakfasts with pastries and juice was satisfactory. It was in the central location in the lawned garden. Nothing too much trouble, loved this place and 100% recommend.
Although everything was very good, some of the staff were poorly trained.

The breakfast was well organised and very very good for a hotel of this rating with juice and prunes, for example.
